How to get an ID card

 

Attention.

All those citizens who received their ID cards starting February 15 2023 can obtain certificates of electronic signature and identification from mobile operators. For the list of operators please follow the link. 

  

Citizens of Armenia can use their electronic signature service with their ID card.

If you already have an ID card, read the card activation guide.

 

Attention:
Only RA citizens can get ID card of RA.

You must personally visit the Passport and Visa Department of the Police or the regional passport office to get an ID card.

You will need

If you are under 18 years old and do not yet have a RA national passport, you will need to visit with your parent, or his / her written consent by a notary is required. If you are a conscript, you should bring your military certificate or proof of military record.

 

At the police station you will be offered:

  •  sign an application
  •  submit fingerprints
  •  take your photo

 

You will have to pay 3,000 AMD using payment terminal.

You will receive your ID card on the 15th business day after you apply.

 

If you need to receive earlier, you will have to pay extra:

 

  • 5,000 AMD to receive the card on the 5th business day.
  • 10,000 AMD to receive the card on the third business day.
  • 20,000 AMD to receive the card within 1 business day.
