“Yes em” national system for identification

 

The "YES EM"  national system for identification is a toolset for identifying a person that incorporates identification using an ID card, a mobile phone, and smart devices.

In order to authenticate their customers, electronic service providers integrate their systems to ”YES EM” platform. Upon successful identification, the platform provides (retrieves)the public services number of the customer, which serves as the unique identifier of a person.

 

For citizens:

Click “Login” button on online service page, to be redirected to the unified identification system, where you can choose one of the following methods for strong authentication:

  • eID: login with an ID card

In case of this option, it is necessary to have an identification card (ID card) and a card reader. Follow the link for settings and more information.

  • mID: login with a mobile ID card

It is necessary to get a special uSIM card from -mobile carriers? and activate the service. Follow the link for the  list of available operators and more information on mobile authentication.

  • xID: login with a smartphone application

There is no need for additional hardware /software for authentication with a mobile  application. The application is available for iOS and Android devices. For  information on xID registration options, step by step guide and the application download  follow the link.

Each service provider determines which identification options are available for logging into their system.

Following successful authentication, you will be forwarded to the service provider's first page in order to proceed with the service.

Legal grounds for the launch of the “Yes em” platform, as well as technical requirements for the integration of the toolkit on the websites of state bodies are defined in the Government Decree N 572-Ն dating May 25th, 2017.
